Please let WABA know too because that is part of the Full Vasa ride route on Saturday. I expect there will at least be mud issues for the next several days with rain in the forecast.
I’m going to ride it Tomorrow and Friday in advance of Vasa. I’ll see what info I can get for y’all on clearing it too.

I saw more cross-country skiers out all day than I saw cyclists.
I saw 5 skiers out on Monday. It was cool to talk to them a bit.

ParticipantThanks Guy! I totally understand that he’s got a tough situation. Hopefully he’s got a place that he can park that is a little better than the crosswalk. Thank you.

ParticipantIt seems like a very small thing… to call and have them talk someone into moving their car. But it says a lot for Fairfax that they are responsive. I bike through a lot of jurisdictions in the area and report things in each at least once or twice per year. Fairfax is the only one that I’m aware of that has ever really followed up on things.

ParticipantW&OD from FAlls Church to Vienna is a BLAST! Definitely not for the faint of heart though. Bridges are DEEP in snow… 10-12″ at least.
As others have said, there is a stomped line, but it is bumpy and slushy right now. By morning it will be icy and bumpy and even more fun.
Today’s ride was AWESOME fun.
Can’t wait to do it again tomorrow.

ParticipantIt was kinda fun! The power went off just long enough for me to eat all the ice cream in the freezer. Then it came back on.

Do you mind sharing your commute route? I get bored taking S Cap St Bridge thru the city sometimes, and wouldn’t mind understanding how to get from that area (say Bolling) down to the Wilson Bridge. It should be noted that I am *somewhat* risk adverse and so riding on something like South Cap (roadway) wouldn’t be my favorite.
Ha! I see that I’m not the only curious person.

My bike commute takes me through here.
Thanks! Cool that people know about it. I know it was near the Law Enforcement memorial for a while, but found its place down south.
Tell me about your commute! From where to where. I’m spending time around different places and exploring people’s commutes for some WABA stuff that I’m doing. You can send it via private message if you prefer.

ParticipantBe careful out there. Wind is fun and interesting to ride through. Wind + rain makes it even more interesting. Go for overkill on visibility and lights.
Hell yes, I’m riding! I’ll ride to the office in Adams Morgan, then metro up to Rockville for a meeting. The ride home will be entertaining for sure.
Have fun!
Hugs and kisses,
Pete

ParticipantI can’t make it this week. I had a long day today, another Thursday and tomorrow night is a late one. I need a bit more sleep if I’m going to make it through the week gracefully.
Rock on! Enjoy some serious bun action for me, please.
Love,
