ParticipantH-Street has signs warning cyclists. They also installed counterflow lanes on G and I streets to make it easier to ride one block on either side of H.
Still gotta be careful, but they’re trying to make things work a little more smoothly.

I did a little testing of that walking along behind parked cars. Visibility is a TON better than on a normal bike lane where you’re coming from behind. There will always be issues with panel vans and stuff like that, but Generally this appears at first glance to be better than riding along a row of parked cars in the same direction.
