ParticipantThe coffee clubs are a great place to start. As well as a #metrofreefriday campaign or something of the sort. I’d think that all the local bike shops would want to get in the “neutral commuter support” game with tents, a wrench, and some local business provided snacks.

I heard someone is throwing tomato juice and vodka at cyclists and yelling something about their lawn.

3) If anyone takes anything away from this thread, it should be to never ever ever support Big Wheel Bikes on Lee Highway. Ever.
Ask me about my experience there the one time I went in, sometime.

My experience with Ballstono has been similaro. but the nonofficious pit stop by the WFC store/on WOD was the bombitty this am.
I heard the WFC store is starving for business. They always seem to do the neutral commuter support on days that I’m not around, though.

ParticipantHuge number increases in the past five years. Great job Joe and the CCBID folks for really hosting something special each year!

Participantthe last Kill BIll ride, I was riding toward the end of the pack, making small talk. As we turned from Rockingham St on to Massachusetts Ave, I noticed someon with a dropped chain, so I slowed down. It was Boomer! We didn’t lose much time, but lost sight of the pack as they made a hard right turn down Virginia Ave. (maybe a wrong turn, since everyone stopped and came back up, but only after we had gone left) We made out way back to Williamsburg and Westmoreland where we caught up with the pack again. All in all only about ten minutes, but on a ride like that, a few seconds can cook you for the day. It was nice to ride with Boomer. He has a great spirit and made me feel like I had done my good deed for the week by hanging with him and getting us back to the group.
Best of Luck Boomer!

ParticipantSaw they are running a “VIP Package” for $195 that includes:
Registration ($60)
Jersey ($70)
Lunch
Front of the pack starting positionplease allocate the remaining $65 between the last two. I’m sure you aren’t getting a $65 lunch, though.
Anyone have any idea how much traction they are getting? I’d love to see participation numbers, and what the eventual split is for WABA.

ParticipantGreat, so we’re all asleep at the wheel, so to speak?
The title of this article does a grave disservice to Ms. Kondo.

That is one big backpack if you can stuff that much beer into it. 50 pounds of beer would be roughly 6 gallons, or about 10 six-packs.
isn’t it closer to 6 six packs, as the beer might weigh about 15 oz per beer, but the glass will weigh another 7 oz. per bottle.

Participantmight want to ask on the Fedbikes Google Group too.
