I hope this becomes an annual forum event. So many terrific people came out to race and to watch.
It had enough crashes to keep my eleven year old son entertained.
There was great racing.
I’m only sorry that it happens on a Sunday night, homework night in my house, and I had to leave earlier than I planned.

Congratulations to Mr. Kelley who only had me take his picture next to his race results five times because I didn’t get a flattering enough shot.

I went to a clinic once and a strategy is to step on the left pedal and “jump” on from there. It is the “Not Quite Leap of Faith.”

So far, this is my illuminated helmet. It runs on two AA batteries clipped into the strap in the back and taped with transparent packing tape.

There are all sorts of bike events. Over time I’ve figured out the ones that serve adult beverages tend to be more fun (MoCo Epic, Crystal City Diamond Derby) than the ones that serve granola bars and bananas. Less painful too. This should be a very fun event.

In theory a bike commute saves money and over the long haul it probably does. But there is this thing, The Wannabike Stuff Syndrome…

You were smart to take classes. Being safe, predictable, and visible on the road is a good way to ensure your survival.
