W&OD Trail Kitty sighting

I finally saw my winter buddy people watching on the side of the trail today. He came right up to me for pets. And get this… The name on his tag is Hobo! Considering the trail used to be a railroad, it is a perfect name.

Hobo usually hangs out about half a mile west of Columbia Pike.

Met Hobo’s owner on the trail the other day. She was taking him home. Hobo lives, as you might guess, in a house just up the hill.

I think I know what Hobo wants – a bike! He’s probably heard of Motorcat, and wishes he were Pedalcat.

There is another cat that lives up along the W&OD in Falls Church – Fluffy, mostly black, and a little white. He is out and about pretty much all the time. I call him pirate cat.

I think I’ve seen that one a time or two. Usually I see him hunting, rather than just sitting out watching the world go by, like Hobo does.

Hahahahaha. I always thought Hobo looked at me as though I was a potential food source. I thought he was just under the impression that I was going to feed him something.
