ParticipantSame “driver” same track two different motors so to speak. 260 watts http://app.strava.com/activities/47871632 and 260,000 watts. http://vimeo.com/29896988 Hydrocarbons were hurt while making the video. I have some that are a lot worse but this is not the place….
The track is Summit Point and I found it to be a lot of fun on the bike. I expected it to feel slow but it does not. it is a fun loop on a bike with some good hills to work at.

ParticipantI was at that track years ago – I worked for my friend’s dad in college, he took pictures, mostly at motorcycle races, and sold them to the riders. I was helping take pictures that day just before that long straightaway turns into the sharp right then back left and a deer ran out of the woods, alongside the track for a minute, then back into the woods. I have an out of focus shot of him around here somewhere.
Were you doing Friday at the Track? Do they still do that? I was there in 1999 or so. Looked like a lot of fun but I was driving a Toyota pickup at the time, not exactly a track car.

ParticipantYeah, we’re gonna need more details and pictures of the car immediately. Nice lap!

Ha! I saw that on my feed and briefly wondered what you were up to…

Yes. I know a good rider can run under 1:20 on an unmodified motorcycle, but I didn’t think that was possible in an unmodified car. Serious trackiness afoot, methinks.

That is definitely not an unmodified car… I don’t know why but looking down the hood I’m guessing TR6?

ParticipantI am going to get kicked out for all this car content. It started out as a $400 junkyard 1977 porsche 911. I had it burned and acid dipped then I cut it down to 310 pounds (some of us car guys are weight weenies too) Tube framed it for stiffness, caged and built the drivers compartment to Pro level rules for safety. Replaced the torsion bar susp with coilover and stuffed a bone stock 3.6L air cooled 993 motor in it. 2000 pounds wet but only 250 HP at the wheels. Under $20K spent and will do 1:18s at Summit Point which is GT-3RS speeds. It is the rude guy with the beer and the stained T shirt on at the wine tasting.

If I was going to be Four Wheels, that would be perfect. I will comment no more on this horrible car content.

Damn. That was all the payoff I was hoping for and more. Very, very nice work.
Thank you for being that guy that uses a 911 for more than coffee shop runs.
