GB is organizing a Thursday Coffee Club at Caffe Amouri, located at 107 Church Street, NE in Vienna — half a block from the W&OD. We will have our inaugural gathering tomorrow starting at 7:00 a.m. I should be able to stay to 7:45 a.m. — but others are free to come and go earlier or later.

Please come join us. I will be bringing a new surprise. You will not want to miss this.

Since it’s disc-brake I’m not worried about the surface — other than wanting a rim w/o machined track. Right now I’m planning to stick with the H+ Son Archetypes; they really have been great rims. And maybe I’ll stick with black, but I like the look of the hard ano. After 12k miles am needing to replace my cheapo hubs and at that point was considering just replacing the rims too (my front got a bit bent from a riding straight into a curb, though rear is probably fine).

Edit: now that I realize the SL23 comes in all-black, that is near the top of the list.

Sooo going to miss y’alls Everyone in this community has meant the world to me and getting started biking as well as being comfortable in all types of roads and trails. I certainly will take what I learned here and apply it to the small bike community in Birmingham. I have to admit that I was a little misty eyed on Tuesday where I did my last bike commute. Keep up the great work everyone, sometimes it may feel like BikeDC has its problems but I assure you we have it so good around here.
