I will once again award a Pointless Prize(s) for whoever manages to do the most coffee rides. Hashtag your ride title on Strava #coffeeride. Rules:

    1. The idea is to see how many DIFFERENT coffee shops you can visit (and drink some sort of coffee beverage) during the course of Freezing Saddles.
    2. The one coffee shop that doesn’t count is STARBUCKS. This is non-negotiable.
    3. Other chain (national or local/regional) coffee shops, e.g., Peet’s, are OK but you can only count one visit to a single location. In other words, you can’t go to a second location of the same chain and count that as a coffee ride.
    4. Visits to multiple coffee shops on the same day will require you to make them separate rides if you want each coffee shop to count. So even if you’re doing “one” ride, you’ll need to divide it into separate rides on Strava and each one with the hashtag #coffeeride. So end your ride when you visit your first coffee shop. And then start another ride from there to your second coffee shop. Repeat as necessary.
    5. Either in your Strava ride title or description, name the coffee shop you visited and what you drank.
    6. Post PICTURES in this thread as evidence that you visited said coffee shop. You can post pics on Strava too, of course.

The winner is the person who visits the most coffee shops. If there’s a tie, the tiebreaker will be who rode the most miles for coffee. And I will also take into consideration if you were diligent posting pics in this thread (and possibly the creativity of those pics).

NOTE: Previous winners (you know who you are!) aren’t eligible for the prize. Just because I want to give someone else a chance to win.

Just for clarification – repeat visits to the _same_ boutique coffee shop on different rides do or do not count? I think the answer is ‘no’ but there’s no harm checking.

#coffeeride 2022 #1, Ok, I know I’m not eligible to win, but I’m going to play anyway.

Variety Coffee corner of E 85th St and Lexington Ave. The barista said he could make a long shot double, but it was just a regular doppio. :(

#coffeeride #5 – Pathos Café at the corner of 1st Ave and E 51st St in Sutton Place, Manhattan. Probably the best Americano I’ve ever had (just the right amount of hot water to the doppio).
