The middle section is closed for construction (basically the length of the park). I asked a pair of bicycle cops how long it would last and they said February. You can get around through the park but it’s slow going.

Changing subjects, the police were back at Van Buren in EFC. I did the loosest interpretation of an Idaho stop through there but they didn’t stop me – no cars were at the intersection and I did look both ways (although my brain was going “la la la la oh $&?! That was a police car…”). Whoops.

I assume that is for the inauguration. Four and eight years ago, the area wasn’t actually closed off the entire time; you could ride right past it closer to the event:
