    Hello —

Just noticed this last night coming home. There is a new connecting trail between the W&OD and the dead end of Tapawingo. Posting some photos below. It does not appear to be finished — they have the base layer in but not the pavement yet (I assume it is meant to be paved — ?).

This will be useful — there are other ways to get from the trail to Tapawingo, but this will be direct. Many commuters make this connection.

Nice. I usually do Adahi, this is more convenient.

It has been a dirt trail for a few years. Cool that they’re paving it.

The drainage was bad on that trail. It looks like the main point of the construction was to fix that. I am not sure they are going to pave it.

Been monitoring this progress, saw a roller there yesterday morning waiting on the rest of his crew. Live in the neighborhood that this part of the trail hugs on the other side of this project. I’m betting they pave over the base layer.

Rode the connector this evening–very smooth. Much better than the connector I usually take from Owaissa.

I’ve taken this a couple of times now, and it’ll be my new default route home. Two thumbs up for smooth, wide pavement. Damn shame about that big tree, though.
