Sorry–I think it only works in linear mode. You can always switch temporarily if you feel the desire to Like or ELITE someone, and you’ll still get any of the Likes and ELITES that people give you.

So, what does it mean to ELITE someone’s post? I always got the idea on this forum that calling someone ELITE sometimes had a sarcastic tone to it, as it is sometimes used to refer to aggressive jerks on MUP’s, whereas other times it had a positive tone when referring to cyclists who are fully decked-out/equipped for some major racing/distance riding.

I think it’s just a bit of silliness.

Gillian was going to come up with rules since she was the one who proposed it.

Clicking the ELITE button indicates the clicker’s belief that a cyclist described in the post or the poster his/herself is exhibiting ELITE behavior.

ELITE cycling behavior includes indications of the cyclist’s belief that he or she is (1) the most important person in the world (or at least more important than every other chump on the road/trail); (2) riding in (or at least training for) the Giro d’Italia; (3) impervious to the laws of physics; and/or (4) the best cyclist in the entire DMV, if not the entire world!
