I’m much more of a visual person. I have a hard time making sense of trail names and cross streets that I don’t frequently use on my commute, so I created this open collaborative map back in the winter of 2010 for people to mark off sections of bike routes and paths that had ice or snow blockages.

it was pretty heavily used through march of that year, but seems to have fallen off. Please feel free to contribute if you so wish.

Of course this asks the question ” Why doesn’t Google have this data updated in 5 minute increments just like the automotive road traffic?”. Why should cyclists have to roll their own? Hrrrumph. :rolleyes:

Cool idea though. Is there a way to make entries self expiring like the 2010 flooding?
