FS Social Rides

[Greenbelt]

Well, it’s a crisp 8 degrees American this morning in sunny Greenbelt, so let’s go for a ride!

For any FSers who aren’t interested in going for the “golden” nugget for the longest New Year’s ride, but still want to get out in the very fresh air, clear the cobwebs from 2017, and get some delicious food and beverages, we’re heading for a lap or three at Lake Artemesia and then to Franklin’s restaurant for lunch today.

This will be a good shake down ride for your cold weather gear, and it’s always funner riding with friends! Winter Break Social Rides I’m looking at you use-or-lose feds!

I’m thinking party pace coffee rides. Start racking up the Coffeeneering (or donuteering) scores? Start mid day from a NOVA meeting place (like um maybe a coffee house???) and go cruising.

Because….. there can never be enough coffee. Well and bikes. There can never be enough coffee and bikes. Well and vacation. Look, basically its just a good idea.

Use-or-Lose ride!

Wednesday 12 noon

Start at Lazy Mikes (this means come for pancakes before hand).

Ride the WOD. But not any WOD. The Horse Trail next to the WOD. This be CX training. Lots of bursty uphills and technical downhills. Gravel!

Ride to Greed Lizard and have coffee.

Get a coffee credit and a dirt credit for this ride!!

Party pace. Wed looks like the best day of the week weather wize

Thanks, SteveO I think our Google calendar was a bit out of date so I’ll check that.

This weekend’s social rides are:

Saturday 11am ride to downtown College Park for lunch probably at Ledo’s pizza (there is beer). This is only a few miles since it will be super cold still I think.

Here are a few more pics from the Jan 6th @proteusbicycles #saturdaysocialride. The two coolest moments were celebrating @AlisonL’s birthday @ Franklin’s Brewery and watching an eagle kill and then eat a Canadian goose @ Lake Artemesia. Wild and wonderful Murrland!:-0
