@porrick, you have my sympathy! I got knocked out of last year’s competition when I got hit by a car on the way to the day’s scavenger hunt item and ended up with a broken fibula and a concussion. Let’s hope we remain unscathed this year!
Hi hi! I’m Caroline and while I biked as my only mode of transit in Boston a decade ago (when winters were… colder!) I’ve become a little *too* DC over the past decade and become a more of a fair weather bike commuter and à friend suggested freezing saddles as a motivator to keep pedaling this winter.

I take care of my 4 y o niece one night a week and she is an avid cyclist thanks to my badass sister but I’d love to pick her up from school on my bike — seeking e bike recs for safe kiddo transport that can ALSO double as… cool auntie transport when I’m solo! 😅
Hi! I bike commuted through last winter, and was not in freezing saddles, but it sounds like fun, so I thought I should join this year! I bike ride a lot around Petworth in DC, where I live, and also ride from the greenbelt metro to Beltsville, where I ride along the forested and magical Beaver Dam Road to get to work!
