Feb 5 – National Girls and Women in Sports Day

I stopped by the Glory Days restaurant on Duke Street in Alexandria. Feb 6 – Saw this little guy swimming in circles so I figured he only had 1 leg. I took a picture in celebration of National Lame Duck day.

For Feb 6 National Frozen Yogurt Day I stopped by Mr Yogato for some froyo. You get a discount if you answer some trivia questions correctly. Managed to get 2 correct to get a 10% discount!

Feb 7 was National Send a Card to a Friend Day. I stopped by Harris Teeter on the way home to pick up a card.

Feb 8 – National Iowa Day! I went to visit the Capital Area Iowa Club, conveniently right off the Bluemont trail!

For February 8th, I celebrated National Boy Scout Day by visiting this statue of a Boy Scout with two naked people next to the White House.

The Memorial was dedicated for the 50th Birthday of the Boy Scouts in the US.

The Scout Oath is on the side of the monument.

There is also an inscription explaining the symbolism of the naked people.

Feb 10 is National Umbrella Day which we celebrated at the Alexandria Swings this morning. I will be saving my umbrella for this evening when I can celebrate National Umbrella Day with an adult beverage.
