    One of our fun fall/winter projects is working on getting decals added to bike racks in Arlington (the traditional inverted U style installed by the County, not Capital Bikeshare stations).

    The decals would provide some nice branding for BikeArlington and also is an opportunity for a fun, motivational, thought provoking message (think bumper sticker) for people using the racks, or just strolling by.

    We have brainstormed a few initial ideas for the message, but wanted to tap into the brilliant minds and razor sharp wit of forum users to unearth some more gems. If you have any good slogans for Arlington bike racks, please post them here.

    How about including a phone number and a rack number to report abandoned bikes or other problems with the rack?

    Small correction–the Master Transportation Plan wasn’t adopted until 1974!

    So many good ones here, I don’t have anything creative to add. But I’m just back from vacation in the UK, and noticed slick bike parking in Bath that included a helpful map of the area. It was both great for the cyclists, and brought others over to the bike racks, increasing awareness.

    Bath also seemed to have bikeshare with only 4 stations… Interesting. Boris bikes (bike share) are ALL OVER London. In fact, London has LOTS of bike infrastructure to be envious of. Sigh…
