Changing/patching a tube

I got my first flat tire yesterday. Luckily, it was literally 50 yards from the bike shop, and I was meaning to take it in for the “you’ve been riding a new bike for a week or so” adjustments, so I just dropped it off and took a Bikeshare bike. But I need to know how to take care of the tire myself.

I understand generally how it’s done, but I was wondering if there’s a good online tutorial that anyone can point me to?
