WASHINGTON — President Obama will deliver a televised address during Thursday’s rush hour to a joint session of Congress to outline his plan for jobs creation.
U.S. Capitol Police will start closing some D.C. streets at 5 p.m. Thursday before Obama’s 7 p.m. speech, scheduled just before the New Orleans vs. Green Bay game.
Here are the specific closures:
North of the Capitol Building
•D Street, NE between 2nd Street, NE & Louisiana Avenue, NW
•C Street, NE between 2nd Street, NE & Louisiana Avenue, NW
•Constitution Avenue between 2nd Street, NE & Louisiana Avenue, NW

•New Jersey Avenue, NE between Louisiana Avenue, & D Street, NE
•Pennsylvania Avenue between 1st Street, & 3rd Street, NW
•East Capitol Street between 2nd Street, & 1st Street, NE/SE
