Caboose Brewing is open, finally!

Sadly I think I’m out; my son wants to ride home from school tomorrow since it hasn’t worked out to do that another day this week, so I need to add extra time for the with-child leg of my commute. I need to gear that little bike up so he can go faster than 6mph on the W&OD! And get him setup with a Strava account.

Schedule update on the Caboose happy hour: looks like the early shift is out this week, unless someone else posts something to the contrary (I’m still game for the 4:00 hour, but I’m not going by myself that early!). I’ll aim for about 5:30…possibly earlier if I’m incredibly bored at work. Rockford is still in, and could come early (but not likely). GB is still on with wife and canine for the 6:00 or so slot, last I heard. I owe Dickie a pint, so he’ll probably find a way to give his wretched boss the slip to come drink, but I don’t know just when. 😎 Who else is coming? TwoWheels? I know dcv will be passing near sometime, and it’s not too far out of the way for Dread. Surely where there is beer, there is Dismal (even though it’s miles from Westover!).

There are racks just opposite the patio so you can watch your bike while enjoying a brew. Plus it’s Vienna, if someones messing with your bike they are almost certainly fixing something for you.

Fantastic evening with Arlingtonrider, Dismal, Dickie, Rocford, Dread and family, GB and family, TwoWheels, and GB’s friend Gordon (not on the forum?). Lots of laughs, good food and fun beer, and a fast group ride east from Caboose. For me, along with MMPC and TMCC, made for a great week of seeing awesome bike people! Let’s do it again next week!!

Pro tip – Caboose doesn’t have cell reception. This can be a very good thing or a very 12-texts-from-the-kids thing (!!!) depending on how you look at it.
