Any CX racers out there?

This will be my first season doing Cyclocross racing so I’m both excited and anxious about the season starting. I’m doing races both around DC and in the Philly area (where I still have family). Any like minded crazy people on the form? I have only registered for three races so far, all listed below.

Tacchino – Sept 9th
Charm City (only doing Sunday) – Sept 23rd
Whirlybird – Sept 29th

Any other races in the area in the next few months, besides DCCX (which hasn’t opened for registration yet), that I should know about?

Any tips for a total noob are welcome as well. I expect much pain and failure on my part during the races.
