    3/7/24 Clone

Daffodils multiply by asexual cloning through bulbs. I love seeing this hillside of clones in Rock Creek Park

    3/7/24 CLONE

“The Lobsterman” is a clone. The original was made in 1939 for the World’s Fair. Three clones have been made of it. The first was placed in Portland’s Canal Plaza, the second in Bailey’s Island (the hometown of the subject, Elroy Johnson), and the third in Washington, D.C.

Looks like someone CLONEd a traffic cone to get 3 more, enough to totally block off access to this building

Wow you guys all have such great entries! I didn’t know either daffodils or bananas were clones @dcaken & @aaronbikes. that’s so cool!

    3/7/24 – clone

I forgot that there are clones all around us in nature, so I got 2 friends who are equally impossibly skinny & today were wearing the same color jacket & big brims

This is Randi & Cindy standing in front of Susan’s new house, which she gave us a tour of while it’s still being built.

I’m so psyched to be able to get back to riding with friends!

    3/7/24 – Clone

I bummed hard when I heard that someone already did the banana thing because I took a picture earlier on the ride but didn’t post it yet.

Another idea that came to mind was to clone myself. Doing it in Photoshop was easy but not allowed, so I had to figure out some other way where it was just one pic with no post-shot combining.

I tried propping my camera on my handlebars (with the help of my bar extensions), then taking a panoramic shot on my iPhone and rotating the camera by the front tire (since I had to take the picture myself with no assistance). After 10 unsuccessful tries (and singeing my eyeballs with my hyperbright headlight), none of it worked probably because it was too dark and I was too close.

I remembered that there are different ways to output a Live photo, so I took the photo in that mode with the self-timer, then after I heard it click, I shifted to the right. When saving it to my iPhone, I selected Long Exposure, and this is what the pic ends up like.

    Ghost/Clone

Not sure if it’s more ghost than clone though 😀

3/7/24 CLONE– daffodils. Had to check my biology memory on google and confirmed that the bulbs may be the result of asexual  reproduction. When the new bulbs and subsequent flowers and plant are the same organism as the original, it is indeed a CLONE.
