Question about Bike Rack Location

I apologize in advance if this shouldn't be posted to the Bike Arlingto forum, being new to the area not sure if this is the correct site. If not please direct me to the correct forum for this post.

I recently began commuting by Bike to Skyline 6 where I work, the bike racks are located in the parking garage loading dock, unfortunately this is also the smoking section of the building. Is there anything that can be done about this.

Welcome to the forum. What's the address of Skyline 6? If it's in Arlington, and if bike parking is required by site plan requirements, there might be a way for Arlington County government to encourage the property manager to separate the bike racks from the smoking area. It's a long shot, though. A more direct approach would be to contact the property manager yourself, and/or ask your employer to speak to the property manager.

Its 5109 Leesburg Pike, not sure if its Arlington or Falls Church, never quite sure where the boundary is. Thanks for the tip, I think I will take it up with the building management.

That's just outside of Arlington, just north of Alexandria, my map says it's in Fairfax County. So that rules out official channels through Arlington County, but the property manager may be receptive to a suggestion. Good luck!

Is the loading dock a covered dock? If so you have a smoke in the work place. It may be a tough fight though. Sometimes being right is a PITA.
